This training is a total of 4 hours which can be offered during the day, evenings or weekends to suit your requirements. This course will allow practitioners to evaluate their behaviour management strategies and the importance of working together as a team when working with young children to understand their feelings.
This training is designed to aid practitioners to reflect on practice in supporting positive behaviour, identifying and responding to different types of behaviour of children in their care, and reflect upon how our own beliefs and values can affect our expectations of children. The aims of the session are:
- To be able to support positive behaviour
- To be able to recognise and support different behaviour types
- To explore how to respond to inappropriate behaviour
- To consider behaviours that are considered to be desirable and unacceptable
- To identify factors which affect behaviour
The duration for this training is 4 hours but can be adjusted to meet your setting's needs, please contact SCIL to discuss this further. This training can also be offered during the day, evenings or weekends to suit your requirements.
Due to the nature of the training, the room you provide must meet SCIL Health and Safety requirements as per the booking form.
We kindly advise and appreciate at least 3-4 weeks’ notice for in-house training requests to take place.
The cost of the training for 2017-2018 is £400 for up to 20 learners, if you have more than 20 learners there will be an additional cost please contact SCIL to discuss this further.
